“Le Nuage, my new series of pencil drawings, was inspired by views from flight windows on the way to Canada, Korea, and Japan. My process involves juggling multiple papers and rendering back and forth between different spots of the drawings. My delicate gestures seamlessly move across the surface, blending, erasing, and scribbling to add depth and nuance to the preceding layers of shade.” —Jinhee P. Lee

Jinhee is an artist who focuses on capturing living nature and exploring questions of identity as a mechanism for storytelling. She developed her artistic talent in her mother's tiny home studio in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, under the traditional art curriculum in South Korea and Japan, and as a graphic designer in the gaming industry in Tokyo. She is now based in the United States, a move which marked a profound shift in her life as she embraced her true calling as a full-time artist.
