About Monica
I work from my home-based studio in San Francisco. Mostly self-taught, my style is equal parts classic, understated and whimsical. I am inspired by food, flora, the colors in nature and human faces. I approach most of my art in a methodical manner as my left and right hemispheres fight for position.
I transitioned from corporate telecommunications and logistics to running my own creative business over a decade ago. Very different places! My messy hair and paint-laden hands have been very happy.
