About the work

I've always been fascinated by the small details of everyday life that are are often overlooked. Whenever I go out to explore with my camera, I train my eye to those intricacies of the ordinary and to capture it in a beautiful or interesting way, usually as an abstract interpretation. In this work, the sunlight reflecting and rippling across the water's surface was mesmerizing. After I took the picture I further noticed the texture and patterns made by shells underneath, a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes swirling together in a prismatic effect, a brief glance of time and earth in a single moment.
