About the work

This abstract acrylic painting takes a modern spin on landscape art. This piece was inspired by a trip to Glacier Bay, Alaska. The colors of this seascape painting were inspired by the deep blues of the Alaskan waters combined with the white and light blues of the glacier.

In 2014, she left marine biology behind to predominately focus on art. Using acrylic paint on canvas, Caryn creates abstract landscapes, abstract botanicals, or pure abstract expressionist paintings focusing primarily on color rather than form in her studio in Santa Cruz, California.
