About the work

There's quiet, and then there's an island off an island off the coast of Maine quiet. It was just my son and me, wandering over rocks, navigating brush, and drinking in the rising sunshine and solitude. As I rounded each corner, new compositions of rock, water, tree and light greeted me, beckoning me to slow down and let it all seep into my soul.
