Soft Drift began as an exploration of order and release. I started by building a tightly structured surface using repeated vertical rope lines, creating a quiet rhythm that feels grounded and architectural. As the piece moves downward, the fibers begin to loosen and shift, forming soft loops and tassel-like ends that feel spontaneous and natural. My process is slow and meditative, allowing the material to guide the final composition. This artwork reflects how stability and movement can exist together, where clean structure gradually transforms into softness, like something carefully held and then gently allowed to drift.
