Whimsical Waves began as my desire to translate the feeling of being near water into a tactile form. I wanted to capture the quiet joy and calm that comes from watching waves shift, repeat, and never return in exactly the same way. Each square is created slowly by hand using fine cotton string, allowing the form to develop naturally as I guide it. The process is meditative and intuitive, almost like drawing with fiber. When installed together, the pieces create a soft rhythm across the wall, inviting the viewer to pause and experience a sense of movement, lightness, and ease. Like waves themselves, every arrangement becomes its own moment, personal, fluid, and ever-changing.
