My work explores how perception constructs reality and the possibilities of expanding consciousness. Many spiritual, psychological, and psychedelic modalities center on “shedding layers”, identifying and letting go of constrictive past conditioning to see the world more expansively. I use layering as an aesthetic strategy for empowering viewers to cultivate awareness of how their minds create narratives - an essential practice of self-awareness.
