About the work

Inspired by my cat, Baxter, this hand-cut tissue collage distills pet features to their sweetest and simplest forms. A minimal color palette compliments the simple shapes to illustrate a cute, playfully-stylized domestic animal bust. This piece pairs with Paper Pets 2 that depicts a dog sweetly tilting their head to the side similar to how our pup reacted to the addition of our kitty to the family last spring — with surprise and a bit of skepticism.
