The inspiration for this painting was the sprawling hills of the English countryside. Several of my ancestors come from the beautiful Lake District in northwest England, and visiting that area made me want to paint everything I saw! The rolling green hills dotted with wildflowers stretched out as far as the eye could see.

Growing up on the Alberta prairies, living many years in coastal northern California, and now calling the Utah mountains home, I have a deep love of nature and the stunning vistas that inspire my work. With a BFA in Illustration, I’ve spent the past twenty five years raising four fantastic daughters and trying to find as much time as possible to paint. I work primarily in oils, and am constantly snapping photos to inspire future projects.
