This piece was influenced by mosaic tiles I saw during my travels to Spain. From Gaudi's quirky buildings to traditional ceramic pottery, I was inspired by the broken forms and colors of these ubiquitous tiles. Using gouache paints, I tried to capture them in an abstract pattern of reds, blues and creams.
