When I set out to make a black and white photograph, I attempt to slow down and enter a meditative frame of mind so that I can pay close attention to detail and create images that will relax the viewer. To reduce the amount of time spent moving about and interacting with scenes, I would go for a lens that enables me to zoom in from a distance.
