This piece is a culmination of inspiration from visits and drives past Lake Michigan. We live fairly close to the lake and have spent many summer days soaking up the sun, tossing the football, and spending time with friends. I used acrylic paint in my sunny studio. One of my favorite things about the lake is how it's always a different color. Sometimes it's some version of blue, other times it's some sort of green; either way it's always a little exciting to see what the day brings. I hope this painting brings you as much joy as my days spent there and the experience of painting this scene.
