About the work

Working freely sketching in paint directly from the palette onto the paper in an expressive manner without overworking the piece is the goal. Less is more is my mantra. Inspiration often is based in nature with an artist's eye for a more contemporary expression of a floral bouquet. Water color is a lovely immediate medium which when freely done can have some wonderful results and is especially well suited to loose floral imagery such as this simple yet elegant bouquet.
