For many years I lived in California’s Bay Area, and one of my favorite places to hike was Rancho San Antonio, a stunning nature preserve tucked away in the heart of Silicon Valley. It was always a magical experience to climb the hills of Rancho, feeling like I was in the middle of nowhere, only to be rewarded with magnificent views of the surrounding cities and bay. With this piece I hoped to capture the sweeping grandeur of the endless skies and rolling hills, an oasis from the busy world below.

Growing up on the Alberta prairies, living many years in coastal northern California, and now calling the Utah mountains home, I have a deep love of nature and the stunning vistas that inspire my work. With a BFA in Illustration, I’ve spent the past twenty five years raising four fantastic daughters and trying to find as much time as possible to paint. I work primarily in oils, and am constantly snapping photos to inspire future projects.
