This painting represents my favorite setting on earth: a warm, calm summer evening on the banks of a clear, cold body of water. In my mind there is nothing more pleasant! This piece began as a plein aire study in the small town of Midway, Utah under idyllic circumstances--birds and crickets chirping, the smell of sweet summer mow and the afternoon glow of a late summer sun.
