About the work

The captivating beauty of the celestial canopy has always amazed me. It’s been somewhat a dream of mine to produce an impression of heavenly bodies in an art form that can reflect how I feel when I gaze at the stars in the sky. I produced a set of two art prints to capture my imagination of the night sky, one of which is ‘Peep Hole’ and the other one is “Journey of the souls’. Peep Hole is about those rare moments when life knocks at our door, and before we open up to and embrace the endless possibilities, for a brief moment we take a glimpse outside through the safety of a peephole. Peep Hole is that transitionary moment before we let the universe in. ‘Journey of the souls’ is the depiction, the aftermath when one answers the call and ventures into the unknown. It’s a new beginning, where every soul carrying a reflection of the universe within it, floats about the great vastness life, trying to find a purpose, a meaning; encircling, pivoting, pulling and tugging to reach the destination. A place of much mystery, a place where meaning comes to life.
