This modern abstract wave painting is inspired by my love of stripes and the retro graphic posters of the 60’s & 70’s, as well as the bold graphics used throughout Rio de Janerio. Living near the beach in Santa Cruz, California at the time this was painted, I was inspired to create a modern adaptation of a wave with a nostalgic nod to the past.
