About the work

A portrait of a woman caught up in the veil of her thoughts, nearly blindfolded by them as they swirl around her head. The original "Whirlwind" was done in loose, expressive charcoal strokes on paper, showing just hints of the hidden face behind the moving whirl of fabric.
