About the work
This painting is from a series of drip works. The palette is black, grey, white and gold. I first paint a thick coat of areas for texture with color for the underpainting. Then I drip the paint over the surface. To achieve the right composition it takes many sessions and gravity helps! These paintings are always a big gamble as chance plays a big roll when you drip paint. The name, well that is another story!!

As an artist, painting can be tormenting and sublime at the same time. I'm a big risk taker, experimenting with different materials to layer, stain, scrap and saturate color on large canvases. My most successful work is complex yet minimal. Some of my work achieves a sense of fluid movement with saturated color, while my newer collection is so textured it is like frosting. The end result should be a painting that will spiritually and emotionally capture, calm, and elevate us.
