About the work

This painting features a tree at the center point of a clearing in the woods. The walking path is covered with shadows and shows how the light plays with the different colours and textures found in nature. About the artist: Lottie Aldarwish paints from her studio on the Acadian Shore in South West Nova Scotia. She loves the effect that colors and artwork have on a space and is eternally inspired by how different colors and shadows play out against each other.
