I frequently run and bicycle and one of the places I do that is along the trails surrounding Shoreline Park which is at the southern reaches of the San Francisco Bay. It is a soggy place of sloughs and salt marshes and also a place of inspiration for my painting. In this composition I cradled the wetland between the distant hills representing the east and west boundaries of the San Francisco Bay. The ground mist is common in the mornings.
