About the work

"Pink Water Lily" was created with watercolor on wood. The pink water lily is considered to be a symbol of renewal and rebirth. It was a part of my series on plant and animal symbols around the world. In this series I explored the various ways in which different cultures told stories about one symbol from the animal or natural world.
