About the work

I am especially drawn to a natural setting. The energy that exists and the beauty found in my surroundings such as the sky, a meadow, an old dirt road, and even an abandoned building will inspire me to paint. This abstract acrylic painting on canvas has a soft neutral pallet of khaki, grey, ochre, rust and turquoise that is full of life. It draws the viewer in to find shapes and color representing a safe place to linger.
