I love decorating with fruit during the holidays - orange garlands, bosc pears, and especially pomegranates. They feel especially festive and fun because they aren't as readily available year round. With this painting I hoped to capture the classic, traditional feeling of a Little Women inspired holiday.
ABOUT THE ARTIST

Growing up on the Alberta prairies, living many years in coastal northern California, and now calling the Utah mountains home, I have a deep love of nature and the stunning vistas that inspire my work. With a BFA in Illustration, I’ve spent the past twenty five years raising four fantastic daughters and trying to find as much time as possible to paint. I work primarily in oils, and am constantly snapping photos to inspire future projects.
