About the work

This is a modern and abstract relief print. To create the complexity within the squares I created a square relief print block, playing around with the application of black ink to the block to get different effects for each block print. Each square is unique in this printmaking piece. Some of the different applications of the ink were to not fully cover the printing block with the ink to get patterns and variations of the black ink from black to gray.
