About the work

While on a magical beach vacation on the island of Mallorca, I spent much time with my watercolors on the beach hoping to capture the incredibly beautiful and calming horizon and the color gradients that blended the water and sky together. What resulted was a whole series of minimalist watercolors that did just that. The focus here is on the calm. The subtle yet pure natural tones perfectly depict the ultimate relaxation and gratitude I felt during that week on the Playa.
