Early dawn at mammoth lakes—ideal time and place for a 35mm film photo-inspired shot, and the surrounding layer of wildfire smoke adds an overtone of dramatic vintage feel to this shot. Nature gives us hidden moments of calmness and serenity in a tumultuous, ever changing world. These tiny gifts are all around us. My work reflects my point of view that photography is a tool to find these special moments everywhere.

I found poetry through images. I’m drawn to the fleeting moments when light transforms an ordinary place into something quietly extraordinary. Through film and digital photography and abstract painting inspired by nature, I explore the emotional resonance of light and atmosphere. The landscapes I have called home, from Brazil to California and now Spain, have shaped the way I see the world. I hope each piece offers a moment of stillness and encourages us to find poetry in the everyday.
