Melody in White started out as a stain painting but things quickly changes in the process. I have always liked saturating color and this has some wonderful cream, golds and whites blended. Large gestural strokes and palette knife were the finishing touches. Wispy angle wings!!

As an artist, painting can be tormenting and sublime at the same time. I'm a big risk taker, experimenting with different materials to layer, stain, scrap and saturate color on large canvases. My most successful work is complex yet minimal. Some of my work achieves a sense of fluid movement with saturated color, while my newer collection is so textured it is like frosting. The end result should be a painting that will spiritually and emotionally capture, calm, and elevate us. less
