I am drawn to the female figure to explore ideas of beauty, line, and abstraction. Figure on Figure is a monotype painted and printed while working with a live model. The combination of a live model and the monotype process creates a sense of intimacy and immediacy of process and finished work that captivates me.

For Allison, the process of creating a piece of artwork is as fulfilling as the completion. Many of Allison’s works highlight the beauty in everyday objects and capture the small moments of daily life. She is continually drawn to the female figure and explores themes of beauty, abstraction, and duality in her figurative work. While most of her work is inspired by observation, there is a playful and experimental side that can be seen in her watercolors and collages.
