About the work
I was having fun with fruit forms here- Pears! I did an entire series of pears- the shape of them, the scent, and how once you arrange them closely they create such beautiful lines. And enough for a pie! The original is layers of gouache paint on paper.

I am a painter and collage artist. But not always! I have a degree in horticulture and worked for many years outside either gardening or designing gardens for others. Real and imaginary plants and landscape are my thing. I need to stay curious about the imagery and the materials - "the stuff" of creating a piece.
