About the work

With this piece I wanted to create movement within the stillness of the pose. I strive to express and create emotion through gesture. Capturing light and focusing on how it plays across the human form, and how it sculpts and shapes a figure. Using highlights to create drama and focus. Black and white pencil on charcoal toned paper.
