As a mixed media artist, I love to incorporate unexpected textures and materials in my work. My goal for this piece was to create balance by layering basic marks and simple shapes. I wanted to keep the piece minimal but still showcase the uniqueness of the materials.
ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kristine is a graphic designer and mixed media artist working out of her home studio in Chicago, IL. Her artwork is created by experimentation with mark making through the use of different mediums and tools. Inspiration often comes from patterns in nature and the repetition of the city. She has a love for mixing unique and special colors through trial and error and the color palettes for her paintings evolve through that process. less
