Ladybugs are said to bring security and protection to those they land on, especially babies. The lucky mushroom, or “Glückpilz” in German, is also thought to bring good fortune to those who find it. The magical acorn, with its ability to transform into an expansive forest, has for centuries symbolized immortality, fertility, and good health across Europe.

Superstitchous was born out of a deep desire to create beautiful things that comfort and delight people. Samira drew design inspiration from things that feel nostalgic to her (mostly fruit trees from her childhood home in Iran). She partnered with a small family-run mill in the USA to knit the blankets using eco-friendly upcycled yarn. Samira designs the blankets from her home in California, and her mom fulfills orders with care from Georgia.
