Niknik studio’s process is based in the Japanese aesthetic idea of Wabi-sabi, finding beauty in the mundane and imperfect. These paper reliefs are made from fiber that is turned into a soft pulp and pressed into handmade molds. The pulp is pressed further and left to dry and solidify for several days. The result are these paper sculptures.
