"Hayes Valley is an oil painting inspired by the rolling foothills of the Rocky Mountains, which bring back such fond memories for me. I have always been drawn to the serenity and simplicity of pastoral landscapes in art, and chose a muted color palette for this piece to convey that." - Wendy Keller

Wendy grew up on the Alberta prairies, lived many years in coastal northern California, and now calls the Utah mountains home. She feels grateful to have been surrounded by these stunning landscapes, all of which she is eager to paint. A huge enthusiast of art museums and books, she also draws much inspiration from the work of classical masters and contemporary artists.

    about the artist

    byWendy Keller

    Highland, UT

Growing up on the Alberta prairies, living many years in coastal northern California, and now calling the Utah mountains home, I have a deep love of nature and the stunning vistas that inspire my work. With a BFA in Illustration, I’ve spent the past twenty five years raising four fantastic daughters and trying to find as much time as possible to paint. I work primarily in oils, and am constantly snapping photos to inspire future projects.
