About the work
Inspired by my dog, Charley, this hand-cut tissue collage distills pet features to their sweetest and simplest forms. A minimal color palette compliments the simple shapes to illustrate a cute, playfully-stylized domestic animal bust. This dog sweetly tilts their head to the side similar to how our pup reacted to the addition of our kitty to the family this past spring — with surprise and a bit of skepticism. The piece Paper Pets 1 depicts our cat, Baxter, and pairs nicely with this cute collage.
