One of the reasons I love hiking in Maine is the immense variety of layers you view from the bald mountain tops--levels of trees, lakes, ocean inlets, clouds, meadows, outcrops. It all comes together to make for such a dynamic painting.The colors I render these scenes in communicate the joy and energy they fill me with.
