This is part of a floral study series where I photograph specific flower types on solid backgrounds, focusing on the individual details of each specimen. Each one has a completely different feel, yet they all work together to create a beautiful series. A lot of the pieces in this series are very moody, so I wanted to make this one vibrant and cheerful, with the monochromatic color scheme, using a yellow ranunculus against the yellow backdrop.
