About the work
Feminine and soft yet somehow wild and spirited, this piece simply makes me happy each time I walk into the room to see it happily perched above my mantle. I created this painting with some of my favorite summer colors. Coral, soft pink and orange mingle with mossy green, lemon yellow and light, airy blue.

My aesthetic is ever-changing. Ethereal-light-reflective and playful one moment, industrial-modern-gritty-urban the next. I find it so difficult to limit myself to any one style because I like to be surrounded by contrasting elements in my own environment. A painting should evoke emotion in its owner every time he or she looks at it. When I create my paintings, I envision them in someone’s home and hope that each piece brings as much joy to its new owner as it did to me during its creation.
