This oil painting combines two of my favorite things - fruit and vintage dishes. I hoped to create a modern version of a classic still life. I originally painted a patterned, colorful tablecloth in the background, but felt it was too distracting. This piece may be paired with Strawberries on a Plate, Pears on a Plate, and Lemons on a Plate.

Growing up on the Alberta prairies, living many years in coastal northern California, and now calling the Utah mountains home, I have a deep love of nature and the stunning vistas that inspire my work. With a BFA in Illustration, I’ve spent the past twenty five years raising four fantastic daughters and trying to find as much time as possible to paint. I work primarily in oils, and am constantly snapping photos to inspire future projects.
