This photograph was created through in-camera double exposure with the goal of capturing the softness and delicate nature of the peony petals. The use of soft and selective focus in the image is a way to allow the viewer to experience the flowers without being able to touch them as well as to evoke any personal memories.

Light, texture, color are a few elements that captivate and motivate me to create images. No subject is too boring – even a piece of weathered wood can create an interesting image. Add in a textured bowl, a bunch of berries and a dash of morning sun lighting it all – a perfect kitchen image for a kitchen with a rustic bent. I think of myself as photographing life. less
