About the work
This abstract acrylic painting is inspired by the blue and green waters of the Exuma Cays in the Bahamas. While visiting Exuma, I learned the deep water has different shades of dark blue, while the shallow waters has different shades of light green. The beautiful colors of the ocean give me a sense of calm. May this painting bring the calming colors of the ocean into your home.

The San Francisco Bay Area, is where I am sheltering at home with my husband and college bound son. My older son works in Los Angeles. Paint colors, shapes and textures bring me happiness and carry me to a whole new world. I am grateful painting allows me to escape the realities of the pandemic. I look forward to being able to paint theater sets with my comrades at WVLO again.
