This painting was made during a tenuous transition where our family had no home on the horizon. It began as an abstract figure painting of a woman, and morphed as spring turned to summer. All of my fear and hope tumbled into this intuitive piece that became an ocean landscape. By the time this piece won a Minted challenge, we'd found a home on the Oregon Coast. It feels almost as if this painting knew more about the future than I did.
