About the work
I grew up near the beach in Southern California and have many wonderful memories of time spent by the ocean, searching for shells, building sandcastles, jumping in the waves or watching dolphins swim by. The sea feels like home, and I wanted this image to embody the calm I feel when I am breathing ocean air.
