About the work
A mixed media piece that deals with break-up and the awful mess it leaves us with. Layered textures of paper, a hand-lettered note, and black and white photograph evoke the weight of memories, unspoken words, and the tangible remnants of a relationship now past. The combination of photography, drawing, and handwritten elements mirrors the fragmented way we process heartbreak—some moments sharp and defined, others fading and abstract. This piece speaks to the raw, unresolved emotions that linger long after love has left, asking the viewer to sit with the mess, the absence, and the echoes of what was once called home.
