About the work

As much as I love our Southern California sunshine, there's such beautiful tranquility in an overcast day on the beach. Our morning marine layers typically burn off by the afternoon, but on this particular Sunday the clouds lingered deep into the afternoon, bathing the coastline in softness and stillness. Photographed in the South Bay of Los Angeles, I hope that this piece's minimal composition and serene coastal colors transport you away to this quiet Sunday at the shore.
