Inspired by the movement and color of the ocean. Using the interplay of texture, repetitive patterns and color, the work seeks to evoke the emotional and visual sensation of walking alongside or being in the ocean. Sheets of japanese mulberry paper are cut, painted, formed and folded. Repetitive shapes are combined and superimposed to create evanescent assemblages that endure in photographic form.
