I love having a colorful bowl of fresh fruit in my kitchen, and that was the inspiration for this oil painting. I like the way orange pops against a complimentary blue background, so I often use blue tones in the background of my citrus paintings.

Growing up on the Alberta prairies, living many years in coastal northern California, and now calling the Utah mountains home, I have a deep love of nature and the stunning vistas that inspire my work. With a BFA in Illustration, I’ve spent the past twenty five years raising four fantastic daughters and trying to find as much time as possible to paint. I work primarily in oils, and am constantly snapping photos to inspire future projects.
