About the work

“Moxie — n. Bravery, determination, energy, or resolve" is part of my bold brushstroke art collection. In this collection, I use color and bold brush strokes to express emotion. Like a kaleidoscope, humans are capable of a spectrum of emotions. This painting contains expressive strokes of bright red, in contrast to soft purples, beige and yellow ochre. These expressive strokes coupled with the use of colors evokes an energy of courage and determination, a feeling of what I call “moxie.”
